( Zain | DirectAid | NBK ) Advertisements

Ramadan is running and I was planning to post more but as you can see we all get busy during this month. Today I'm gonna put my thoughts shortly about three different ads of Ramadan 2017. Note that this is going to be my thoughts from marketing perspective. This is not an evaluation what so ever because If I would evaluate the ads I have to link it to their goals fro their campaigns. To make it short I'm gonna tell you some basic things that I noticed as a marketer while watching those Ads.

1. Zain


I believe that Zain is one of the leading companies when it comes to corporate social responsibilities campaigns. They choose a very sensitive yet a humanitarian and powerful message. To be honest, it means to me personally and I just cry every time I watch the begging of the Ad and then start smiling since it is positive. The content itself ( message and song lyrics ) is well planned and it feels that they put an effort to what the want to deliver. Since the Ad start with a story, it catches the audience's attention. Now moving to the target market for this Ad. I would say it's a peaceful message for everybody out there but I'm not sure what they thought about their target market as a specific thing that will make them measure their success later. Not forget to mention that they always stick to presenting their ( colors , symbols and commercial music or melody at the end ) which always a plus. To be honest this what makes it a Zain's ad because all of this mixture make you notice that this Zain's Ad.


2. DirectAid


I was searching for their previous ads and I think this is a very good step for them. I saw that they reached more than 1 million views which made me happy. Now the Ad I would say in the social side but it also directly present the company which spread the brand's awareness. I think this is a very good Ad in general and I hope that they keep on track. I strongly believe that this Ad will show great results in their donation's statistics.


3. NBK 


Personally I wasn't a big fan of the last year Ad for NBK but I believe they put a great effort in this year's Ad. The story showing and the sense of humor gave it a lot. However I was negotiating Banks Ads in general with one of Marketing professors and I told him that in my opinion, banks should be carful when they choose to do a humor sense or when they choose a person to represent the bank. That is because the bank offerings is a very serious thing in clients lives and banks should work on building that serious and trustful image. I don't have a lot to say about NBK campaign but I saw it as a great opportunity to talk about bank's ads in general.
